I think Basically the toner will not be burned onto the paper and will likely rub off easily after you’ve run it through the printer.
Inkjet transfer paper is designed so that the ink is absorbed into the paper, while laser transfer paper is designed so that the toner is “burned” into the paper with heat. Since inkjet transfer paper isn’t designed to be burned on, the toner will likely just settle on the surface and be easily rubbed off after printing.
If somehow the toner does get burned onto the paper, chances are the image won’t transfer onto the fabric when you iron it because the image will be burned onto the paper that backs the transfer paper rather than the cloth “screen” that the actually does the transferring when you iron the image.
