God- its true Cello is really bad to play as a kid… I was not happy playing that..

and yes- the song is so boring..

6. XSaintXXJimmy - April 17, 2010

I play the cello, and I will admit.. That really IS the worst cello part ever. On the other hand, I’ve played worse parts. XD I guess it all depends on the musician.

Rap maybe, but not rock.

I think I don’t think you are right. Anti-intellectualism stands on its own, independent of race. Everyone wants to think they understand the world clearly, and when they are confronted by people (smart people or geeks) who actually do understand the world better than they do, they freak out. One of the ways of dealing with this is to tell themselves and others that those smart people are flawed in some other way. Trust me, there are eskimo geeks, bushman geeks, yanamamo geeks etc.

I’m starting to think that anti-intellectualism, like calling classic music “geek” is a conspiracy against white people. Who made classical music? White people. Who made rock and rap music? “Cool” black people. Like to read books? You’re a geek. Like to listen to underground modern music? You’re a geeky indie kid person who was slightly hip but still uncool and lacking popularity in your school. Who fills up most of the sports? Blacks. And guess what a man who doesn’t play sports is called?

14. IvoriesAblaze - May 4, 2010

I played handbells in middle school, and I played, the C, C#, and D bass bells. We did Canon in D. I played D the entire song… every 4 measures… and that was it. Man did that suck. I feel your pain, Rob.

15. BenjaminWirtz - May 7, 2010

I agree, and I love Cannon and it’s still funny to me.

16. dorkmonster123 - May 9, 2010

that really sucks.

20. pj2bass12 - May 13, 2010

Fred Durst uses the same word twice to rhyme, while mozart, beethoven, and bach spend years trying to perfect the smallest details in their masterpieces. and fall out boy is a joke, they dont pronounce their words

21. Tails282 - May 13, 2010

Too true! I played cello in 4th grade. Played by ear in the orchestra, and guess what we learned… Pachelbel’s Canon in D. HATED IT. And guess what I play now? Alto saxophone. Guess what we’re playing in class? Guess what my FOR A GRADE solo piece is for Solo and Ensemble? Damn straight. It’s Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
