How does a laser printer make colors? October 30, 2009

Can you do the same stuff with a laser printer that your could with an ink one? ….like print on photo paper and t-shirt transfers and stuff like that?Submited by:niquelynne

Nope, I don’t think so. The laser makes the colors. That’s why it’s called “Laser printer”.

I think They make colors the same way an ink jet printer does only with toner – a combination of red, blue and yellow toner.
It can do all the things an ink jet printer does – and for less money because of the longer lasting toner cartridges.

I think Laser printers that print color have color toner.

You can print on photo paper with them (for the most part-get the correct type) but there are no “iron on t-shirt transfer paper” for laser printers nor do you want to use the “ink jet ones” the reason is that a laser printer uses heat to bond the toner to the paper and it would melt the transfer paper.
