I have a r260 epson and thinking of getting a CSI.

I tried one for a while, the results were quite good, but the ‘mechanics’ of the thing quickly started to break down and I abandoned it.
There are some really good third party inks around from reliable suppliers, so I use those.
You can try refillable cartridges which is like a halfway house and enables you to use bulk inks, but I found it messy.
