Does a compatable ink cartridge work for an epson stylus dx8450 printer? February 27, 2010

I’ve heard that epson chip their cartridges meaning you can’t use compatable ones. Is this true? Also is there any ink cheaper than 4 multipack compatables for 30 pounds at Epson.INKredible.co.uk/EpsonDX845?

I think Since March 2007, printer companies won the right in the U.S. to refuse to accept compatible cartridges. I dont know how it affects you blokes across the pond. Now a cartridge has to be 100% compatible and many arent. Also some distributors are stuck with a lot of the older ones which they are pawning off on unsuspecting customers. So make sure whatever you buy has a money back guarantee.
In the US you can find working cartridges for Epson for under $5 at
