depends…. if you use flash so you cant! it takes some time as you said. but without a flash in a day light ect.. its really fast … and also you can cancel the preview delay …
is there a way to make this camera take the picture right away without the (about) three second wait??? plz reply

first install the drivers of the CD that comes with the camera, after that your computer will restart and when you plug it and turn it on it will detect it automatically

however long the memory can hold. i believe it’s like that on all digital cameras.
i have this camera and i LOVE it but i have one BIG problem the problem is i cant upload videos or pictures online i have a cord to connect to the computer but my computer doesnt have a memerory card slot so do u know how i can upload videos before september it already july almost august so if u know the answer to this plz plz answer my commet

The free CHDK software kit that is added into the memory card makes it possible to add extra features to this nice camera (and to many other Canon PowerShot & IXUS cameras).
So google for CHDK.
how long is the video duration on this camera?
It’s a still camera, but it does record video.

Hey CANON, What happened to the A590?!
I bought one for Christmas and I’ve been recommending it to everyone since, but Canon pulled it from our shelves. We wanted to get another one and cannot find one in Canada. I guess ppl stopped buying the more expensive models when the A590 came out. This is so much camera for so little money, no wonder.
Please bring it back to our stores!
